At Heartland, we believe that when a community thrives, its people prosper. This April, we are proud to highlight the incredible work of Josh McKee and his involvement with Pause for Parents, Play for Kids, a nonprofit making a meaningful difference for families raising children with complex needs.

As a board member and part of the events committee, Josh supports Pause’s mission to provide rest for overburdened families through resources and quality care for children. This respite allows families to recharge and fosters stronger relationships and inclusive communities – perfectly aligning with Heartland’s values.

Josh has gone above and beyond by offering financial guidance to Pause, helping them manage cash flow with a small line of credit. Heartland is also proud to support Pause as the stage sponsor for their upcoming Party for Pause event.

In addition to financial support, Josh and the Kenwood team actively volunteer with Pause, from assembling raffle baskets to assisting with event logistics. By fostering connections with local businesses and community leaders, they’ve helped raise awareness and funding to expand Pause’s impact.
