Heartland Bank Community Foundation

The Heartland Bank Community Foundation (HBCF) makes contributions to nonprofit organizations to fund widespread community impact programs and/or projects.

Helping our communities prosper

Our primary focus of giving centers around early childhood and adolescent development and family strengthening and enrichment. Consideration may be given, however, to other areas of impact as funds allow. The Foundation is part of Heartland's overall charitable giving initiative, which enables us to support programs that improve the quality of life throughout the states of Ohio and Kentucky, where our clients and associates live and work.

This focus on youth and families allows the Foundation to be strategic and purposeful with support, while providing funding that is passionately placed with diverse programs and deserving communities.

Focus Areas

The Heartland Bank Community Foundation (HBCF) was formed to be a resource to guide community prosperity through organized philanthropic efforts. The Foundation places particular emphasis on two targeted areas of focus established to guide giving and promote understanding of the objectives of the Foundation.

Our two areas of support are:

  • Early Childhood and Adolescent Development programs and initiatives that are intended to reinforce and stabilize our local communities by creating paths to future success for youth and by advancing foundational academic, social and emotional support systems for at-risk children and teens.
  • Family Strengthening and Enrichment programs and initiatives that establish and encourage holistic approaches to sustain and support immediate and extended families through meaningful connections and shared experiences, and to strive toward positive outcomes and vital opportunities for children and families.

If your organization is requesting support from HBCF, please be sure that your organization's programming can be defined within one of the two categories listed above before completing the application process. While we thoughtfully consider all funding requests, priority will be given to those applications that demonstrate intentional commitment to results in these areas of giving.

If you have any questions regarding the specific areas, please email us at HBCF@Heartland.Bank.
