It's literally a snap to use Mobile Check Deposit. Just snap a photo of your check with your smartphone or other mobile device and deposit it securely into your Heartland Bank, a division of German American Bank checking or savings account. Questions? Find answers in our Mobile Deposit FAQs.

Deposit Checks in 1-2-3

  1. Tap the "Pay & Manage" icon in your mobile banking app, select "Check Deposit," choose the account where you'd like to deposit the funds and enter the amount of your check.
  2. Snap a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check with your mobile device.
  3. Submit your check for deposit. You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation after submitting the deposit.1

Pro tip: Review your mobile deposit history by tapping the file folder icon in the top right corner of the Check Deposit screen.

1Deposits are not immediate, so you will not see your balance adjusted right away. Deposits received after 6:00 PM ET and deposits received on holidays or weekends will be credited to your account on the following business day during end of day processing. For example, deposits received on Friday after 6:00 PM ET or over the weekend will not be credited to your account until Monday evening. However, if Monday is a holiday, the deposit would not be credited to your account until Tuesday evening. Once your check has been submitted through Mobile Deposit and you receive on-screen confirmation, you may not deposit the same check again at one of our offices.
