Get uninterrupted service with Visa® Account Updater!

Visa® Account Updater is a service that will provide you with a seamless transition when your Heartland Bank, a division of German American Bank Visa® Check Card is reissued due to standard expiration or is replaced because it is damaged. This service will automatically update the card number and/or expiration date on file if you have recurring payments set up using your Heartland Bank Visa® Check Card. Any of your merchants that participate in this program will automatically receive your updated check card information.

Example: You have your utility bill set up for monthly auto payment using your Heartland Bank, a division of German American Bank Check Card. We issue you a new Check Card with updated expiration date. If your utility company participates in the Visa® Account Updater program, the expiration date on your card you have on file with the utility company will automatically update. You do not have to remember to update your card information and you'll experience no interruption in service.

As a cardholder, you can expect:

  • Uninterrupted service from merchants who are participating
  • Saving the time and hassle of re-entering or resubmitting your payment information
  • No unnecessary communication for changes with your card
  • Less chance of declined payments and service interruptions
  • Your card information to remain secure

You will be automatically enrolled in Visa® Account Updater – there's nothing you need to do to initiate this service.
