Wire Transfers

Send and/or receive money from one person or business to another, in the U.S. or around the world.

Quick. Easy. Secure.

Wire transfers use an electronic payment service that's quick, easy and secure. Outgoing wires use a SWIFT Business Identifier Code (BIC), that locates a financial institution anywhere in the world. Incoming domestic wires use the 9-digit ABA routing number, a number that's unique to Heartland Bank, a division of German American Bank. International wires use the SWIFT BIC.

To ensure safety and expedite the process, wire transfers are debited directly from or deposited directly to your German American Bank checking or savings account.

Features & Benefits

  • Domestic wires sent within the U.S. typically arrive at the recipient's bank on the same business day if sent by the 3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. EST cutoff time on bank business days.
  • International wires sent outside the U.S. typically arrive at the recipient's bank within 2-5 business days if sent by the 3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. EST cutoff time on bank business days.
